UK tax status
To be considered as having a resident non-domiciled UK tax status, you may need to prove that you do not intend to stay in the UK indefinitely. However, ultimately it will be the tax authorities who will have the final say on your resident non-domiciled tax status rather than you.
To help with your taxes, we can introduce you to leading financial services firm, Ernst & Young. They have the full range of expertise required to meet your individual tax needs. We can then work with them to ensure you get the most benefit from your tax situation in your bank account and financial planning.
International banking facility
For maximum flexibility, we offer an international bank account with a range of features - all of which can be accessed either face to face, at a branch, by telephone or over the internet.
Your accounts can be located onshore or offshore. We also offer you the choice of having an account denominated in sterling, euros or US dollars. Our international bank branches are in 11 locations around the world. These include: London's Knightsbridge, the Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey, Gibraltar, Cyprus, Dubai, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa and Switzerland.
Making international bank transfers with your accounts will be one of your key needs and is a standard service we offer. You can do this at a reduced tariff if you use the online facility although there is a maximum of £50,000 or local currency equivalent daily transaction allowed.
British banking security

Our premium banking solution service is iBank Plus, which offers a host of added-value facilities such as a dedicated medical helpline. Suitable for most customers is the iBank account. This requires you to deposit £5,000 (or local currency equivalent) with us or a minimum income of £24,000.
Meanwhile international students who are studying in the UK can apply for iBank Student. This is a low-cost account with entry requirements of £1,000 (or currency equivalent) minimum opening balance, and acceptance into a recognised institution in the UK for at least nine months, full or part time.
We also provide a savings solution paying an attractive level of interest - the fee-free iBank Saver.
We also cater for those who want a more personal service provided by a Relationship Manager - a personal bank executive dedicated to serving your banking needs. This fee-free personal, tailored solution is designed to help clients maximise their wealth. A dedicated Relationship Manager will take the time to get to know you, in order to understand your circumstances and help you achieve your financial aspirations.
The Relationship Manager service is available to clients with balances of £50,000 or more (or currency equivalent) to place with Barclays Wealth International, or for clients who have come to live in or are moving to the UK, an annual individual gross income of £100,000 or more to mandate to a Barclays Wealth International account.
